About Our Group

Our weekly sessions provide a safe space for members to explore meditation and relaxation, fostering emotional balance and mental clarity together.

What is Meditative Relaxation?

Meditative relaxation is an important gift to our self. It is one of the many ways we can nourish our entire being by learning to balance the dynamic energy within our body, mind, and emotions.

We all live in a social environment which doesn’t help when it comes to relaxation. If we are not rushing around trying to juggle various activities at once, we are overwhelmed by ideas and bombarded by various stimulants. Since we have not learn't how not to be affected by all these stimulants, stress, anxiety, agony, obsessions, and disease arise in one form or another. The word dis-ease is itself a clue. “Dis”, which means not, and “ease”, which means relax. We could say disease (for the most part) is therefore the result of being in tension.

For these reasons, it is important we learn to relax. Meditative relaxation as given by Ther Servers Society has amongst its many benefits the following:

  • Removes tensions from the body;

  • Balances emotions so we are not overwhelmed;

  • Simplifies our thought processes, which brings clarity and allows us to let go of negative thoughts whilst creating positive ones;

  • Our mind becomes open, open to new ideas such that the solution to any issue we have can be revealed;

  • See life through a new perspective, a life of possibilities;

  • Self-acceptance. We learn to love and accept ourself as we are and also all people around us;

  • Experience inner freedom as we gradually understand that our existence is not threatened, rather it is eternal;

  • Self-heal by diminishing and dissolving all negative situations;

  • Optimism, growth, and broadness become our reference point.

To be in command of ourself and external conditions, we need to maintain a clear and steady state of mind, balanced emotions, and a healthy body free of tensions. Meditative relaxation helps us with this, to transform the unpleasant to pleasant, darkness into light, like the sun transforms a dull atmosphere into a joyous and translucent one.
